The United Kingdom Aikikai is made up of four houses, Ren Shin Kan, Te Shin Kai, Miyo Shin Juku and Kyu Shin Kan.

All Yudansha gradings are ratified by Hombu Dojo Japan, with grades recognised world wide. Hombu Dojo is the birth place of Aikido, where O Sensei founded this dynamic martial art.
Today Moriteru Ueshiba the second Doshu and the grandson of the founder is head Hombu Dojo, after passing of his father Kisshomaru.
